Nākamais Pasaules čempionāts uz ledus tepat Ķīsī!

Riga, February 16-21
The event is the longest running international competition in the history of windsurfing and the most prestigious winter sailing event in the world. It is held since 1980 each year alternating between Europe and North America.
There are 3 classes in WISSA World Championship:
• Sled Class: Any sled powered by windsurfing rig where the rider is standing
• Hand Held Class: Any wing held directly by hand
• Kite Class: Any wing connected by lines

New discipline – Short-track Slalom on ice field is introduced for the first time in the history of WISSA World Championships. High speeds with sharp turns just in front of the eyes of spectators! Best riders from all over the world are expected to fight for the title of the 1st WISSA World Champion in Slalom!

Atliek tikai vienīgi cerēt, ka Ķīšezers aizsals ar pietiekami biezu ledus kārtu. Tad arī sniegs netraucēs, jo Short-track slalom distancei, izmantojot traktortehniku, tiks nodrošināts nepieciešamais laukums (200-300 m laukums).
Atcerieties, ka lielākā bura, ko var oficiāli pieteikt ir 7.5m2!
Te iespaidam divi video no šī gada februāra, kad piedalījāmies WISSA 2008 Kanādā, Quebec. Kā redziet sniega kārta bija ievērojami bieza, bet ja ir biezs ledus, traktoram tas nav šķērslis. Video Ronalds Griškēvics.
